FRANGO ACEBOLADO APERITIVO (Chicken Starter with onions)

This is a Brazilian appetizer , commonly served in bars and eateries along with the drinks. Brazilian Cuisine as such is very mild and this is a simple, bland dish with just garlic and a chicken cube to enhance the flavours. Indian taste buds are so used to spicy food..I add a dash of tabasco sauce to it before serving. You can even sprinkle chilli flakes if you like.

Ingredients:
Chicken fillet .. 200 grms. (shredded or cubed)
Onion .......... 1 big (Sliced)
Garlic ... 1 tbsp. (crushed)
Chicken cube ... 1
Oil

Method:

1. Heat a little oil in a pan and add the chicken pieces. Sprinkle a little salt and stir fry for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is done. Set aside. Another way of doing is you can grill the chicken fillet and then cut into pieces.

2. Heat a tbsp. of oil and add the crushed garlic. Saute and add the sliced onions. On low flame keep stirring the onion until it is translucent. (3-4 mins).

3. Now tip in the sauteed chicken and crush the chicken cube. mix well.
Serve with buttered rolls.
For variation you can add some herbs if you like.
