RASAM POWDER




Here is an authentic South Indian style rasam powder made with slow roasted spices and lentils. Freshly ground home made spice really enhances any dish. Do try it out.

Ingredients:
Toor dal ....... 4 tbsps
Coriander seeds...2 tbsps
Cumin seeds ..... 1 tbsp.
Methi / fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper corns - 1 tbsp
Dry red chillies .....6-7
Curry leaves.......... handful

Method:
Roast and dry grind all the above ingredients.
 Roast toor dal separately as it takes longer time.  
Store in a dry sterilized container.

  4. I always make the same...but never added corriander seeds since I'll add fresh corriander leaves to the rasam...will add from now! Hehe...:)
