Sambar is a dish that is made everyday in South Indian homes as it is served with breakfast items as well as lunch. So each day a new variation is made with the addition of varied vegetables. Today I have tried it out with broccoli.

For tempering :
Mustard seeds ..... 1 tsp.
Cumin seeds ........ 1 tsp.

To make sambar powder:

  2. Wow, what a delicious way to use broccoli. We love sambar so it is a good way to sneak in some broccoli for hubby as he doesn't like it too much. He definitely will not refuse to have it in a sambar.
