BHATURAS



Bhatura is a thick fried Indian bread usually served with chola / chana. It is the most popular breakfast dish of Punjab.

Ingredients:
All purpose flour ....... 4 cups
Sour yogurt ........ 1 cup
Baking powder ... 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil

Method:
1. Knead the flour with salt, yogurt, baking soda and 1 tablespoon oil, adding a little water.
2. Leave it for 6-7 hours..
3. Roll the bhaturas using oil .(do not use flour to roll)
4. Deep fry and serve them hot with chole.




Note: If you don't have enough time to leave the dough then add yeast and make the bhaturas.

  3. Being from North India Chole Bhature is one of our favourite combo for brunch or breakfast.. The bhaturas look so fluffy and super soft. Must have been a treat with the chatpate chole on the side.

  4. The bhaturas look delicious. Love the heartshaped one!! I don't usually make bhaturas as most recipes are complicated. Yours is very easy to follow.

      BTW .. the heartshaped one just happened by itself.. did not even notice until you mentioned.
