GREEN CHILLI PICKLE



This is a simple recipe of green chilli pickle with basic spices always available in our kitchens.

Ingredients:
Green chillies ... 15
Mustard seeds ... 1 tsp.
Methi seeds ........ 1 tsp.
Cumin seeds ....... 1 tbsp.
Turmeric powder ... 1/8 tsp.
Kashmiri chilli powder .. 1/2 tsp for colour (optional)
Asafoetida ............ 1/8 tsp
Salt ...................... to taste
Vinegar .............. 4-5 tbsps.
Jaggery .............. a small piece
Oil ..................... 6-7 tbsps.

Method:

1. Wash the chillies , wipe them dry with a kitchen napkin.

2. Make a slit and cut them into 1 inch pieces.








3. Dry roast and grind the cumin, mustard and methi seeds. Mix the roasted masala and all the other ingredients into the chillies.






4. Heat the oil and let it cool a little. Mix it well into the chillies. Allow it to cool.







5. Store it in a sterilized and dry bottle.( the pickle will be ready to consumed in 10-15 days)
