One of the most flavourful dish from the Sindhi Cuisine. Chicken cooked with mint and coriander sauce.
Chicken.........1 kg
Onions..........................3-4 (chopped)
Mint Leaves................1 cup
Coriander Leaves.......1 to 1 1/2 cups
Green Chillies.............4-5
Garlic........................... 2 pods
Tomatoes.................... 2
Coriander Powder.....1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder......1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder......1 tsp
Garam masala..... 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
Method:
1. Grind onions, green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, garlic and tomatoes to a coarse paste.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add the ground paste and saute it for 4-5 minutes. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder.
3. Add the chicken. Saute again for a few minutes.
4. Add sufficient water to cook. Finally add the garam masala and cook it for 3-4 whistles. Serve with rotis or plain steamed rice.
Anything green is really good and chicken in it is superb...this recipe looks yummy...
