KALA JAMUN SMOOTHIE / INDIAN BLACK PLUM SMOOTHIE



Here is a simple and healthy smoothie with yogurt and kala jamun..

Ingredients:
Jamuns ... 1 cup (about 10 -12 cut into pieces)
Yogurt .... 1 cup
Sugar ...... 2 tsps (you can substitute it with honey)
Salt ...... 1 pinch to balance the taste.

Method:
1. Blend all the ingredients together in a mixie adding sufficient water. Use cold water or some ice cubes.
2. Serve chilled.

Note: you can add some granola to make it more filling if you like.

  4. I had kala jamun for the first time just a few months ago - Of course, here we only get it frozen and this is exactly what I made a smoothie - It was so good - I have to get some more the next time I go to the Indian market.
