CRISPY PAKORAS WITH SLICED ONION

This is a quick snack you can make in a jiffy when you have unexpected guests. All the basic ingredients used here are usually available in all homes .Add a little rice flour also  to make them extra crisp.

Ingredients:
Besan ... half cup
Rice flour .. 1 tbsp
Onion ... 1 large ( cut long slices))
Green chillies ..... 2-3 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves ... handful
Cumin seeds  or ajwain .... 1 tsp
Baking soda ... a pinch
Red chilli powder .. 1/4 tsp
Salt ....... to taste
Oil ..... to fry

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients except oil to make a batter of dropping consistency.
2. Heat oil in a kadai.
3. Drop the onion with hand separating it ( don't pour chunks like big pakoras )
4. Remove when crisp and golden brown.
Serve with chutney / sauce

Pin for later
