You can make this kadhi on your fasting days...If you haven't tried it already do make it.. It really tastes very good. You may even add potatoes to it.
Shingara flour ... 2 tsps.(water chestnut flour)
Sour curd ......... 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds ..... 1/2 tsp.
Rock salt .......... to taste
White pepper powder ... 1/4 tsp
Sugar .............. 1 tsp.
Coriander leaves .. to garnish
1.Heat a little oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.When they crackle add the flour and fry for a minute till you get the aroma and the colour changes.
2. Add the yougurt blended with water and stir quickly to avoid lumps. Also stir in salt, white pepper powder and sugar. Simmer until done(approx. 20 mins.) Garnish with coriander leaves.
3. Keep the consistency thick to serve with Shingare ki rotis or puris.
